Algerian Haddouche Mohamed crowned in the Blitz category at Jeddah's Chess Festival

Algerian chess player Mohamed Haddouche clinched the title at the International Chess Festival in the Blitz Chess category, which concluded on Monday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Hedouche secured the first-place position in the competition with a total of 6 points, surpassing Yemeni player Bashir Al-Qadimi and Spanish player Belon Frederico. The second Algerian participant in the event, Abdullah Imran, secured the 20th position in Rapid Chess, while in the Classic Chess category, the title went to Rouda Issa Alserkal from the United Arab Emirates.

This competition, organized under the Swiss system with a rapid pace of nine rounds, showcased a high level of play, according to the Algerian representative in the tournament's arbitration, Adnan Neslah. The event featured the participation of more than 80 players representing 19 countries in both Rapid and Classic Chess disciplines.
